This sweet holiday always seems to sneak up on me. As of this post there are only eight days until Valentine’s. I have a few red, pink, love, and heart themed pieces available to ship today. These items can be purchased on LeMyers Designs Facebook shop.
Tuesday January 24

The Multi-Strand Bracelet Workshop at DeBrand Fine Chocolates on January 24th is now full. Guests are still welcome to stop by DeBrand and shop LeMyers! We’ll have a nice selection of jewelry available for purchase, including some pieces that are perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Check the Workshops and Events tab for upcoming events. Or schedule a private workshop; great for birthdays, bachelorette parties, or any occasion! Participants have a blast using their creativity to design their own one of a kind, handmade piece. For those who are “anxious” about creating, there will be plenty of examples to inspire or duplicate! Contact Leslie for group workshops.

It has been finished for quite while so it’s time to share some pictures of my happy place. My husband, Todd, expanded, remodeled, custom built shelving and cabinetry, and added a sink. All for me! I could not have asked for a shop that I love more.
We (well, Todd) added a 3 ft. strip to the room, a 7 x 10 ft. room, and a new closet for Todd. This means we had to take away about 7′ from the length of our basement, as well as a 3 ft. strip. But our basement was so loooooong that it doesn’t appear much shorter. Here are some pics to help describe the remodel. Next post will be exciting pictures of the completed project.

Looking at double doors into studio from living area. Double doors and wall removed; wall bumped out by about 3 ft. and single door re-installed.
Brody the dog is very upset that we are taking 7 ft. off the back wall.
Inside studio with the new 3 ft. strip, single door, and closet torn out.
Messy junk piled in corner
New closet with drywall; bookshelves in corner removed.
New 7 x 10′ room in the center of the pic. This is about the same view as pre-renovation picture view 2.
Todd has been working nearly ALL of his spare time to expand and improve my workshop. It is in the final stages and I can hardly wait! Several weeks have passed since I’ve been able to create anything, but it won’t be long now. It seems like that’s when you want to do something the most- when you can’t!
Sanding the drywall
This necklace was made for a friend from MI. The focal piece is made from bronze metal clay, which happens to be my favorite material to work with at this particular time. It is so cool because you can make literally anything out of this clay, fire it, and the result is a solid, real bronze piece.
